Part of the NEW Technology program, Latino Tech Net aims to increase the understanding of computers and the usage of technology among low to moderate-income Latinos. Computers are increasingly important tools in many of today’s workplaces and are critical for starting a business and employment opportunities with upward mobility.
Through its partnership with the National Association for Latino Community Asset Builders(NALCAB), NEW operates two Latino Tech-Net computer labs. The labs are broadband-enabled and each have 20 computer stations. Job seekers and entrepreneurs can take full advantage of fast internet connections and multiple training stations at NEW’s computer labs by participating in free, bilingual computer training.
