NEW Impact

NEW helps families
We envision a day when every family has the resources they need, not only to survive, but to thrive.

At New Economics for Women, we define ourselves as “social entrepreneurs.” Like business entrepreneurs we are innovative, opportunity-oriented, resourceful, value-creating change agents.

But what makes social entrepreneurs different from business entrepreneurs is that we have an explicit mission in mind -- to reduce poverty by creating wealth opportunities for families. We measure our success based on what improvements families experience in their quality of life indicated by increased wealth, education and health as a result of being touched by NEW.

Whole Family Transformation
NEW's asset building model is focused on the whole family.  Learn more about NEW's Whole Family Transformation approach and how NEW's programs help families get out of poverty.

Our Families’ Success
NEW moves families from poverty to prosperity. Our success stories provide just a small glimpse of our families' willingness to work hard, their perseverance and their hope.

NEW’s Contributions to Public Policy
We also strive to share what we learn from our work by helping to shape public policy affecting low-income immigrant families.  Our work in the policy arena is focused on giving families the knowledge and tools to accumulate, protect and grow their financial assets so they can gain control over their economic future.

Resources
We partner with numerous educational, policy and service organizations and are happy to provide links to and downloads of their reports as resources to the community.

NEW’s Impact
Each year, our impact is measured by the ways we improve the lives of the people we touch and help make their dreams come true. If you believe in this vision, help us help our families.

NEW’s programs touch more than 10,000 individuals every year.  The following represent some of the ways clients benefit.  Read more about how lives are changed.
